2. Introduction

Avasco Solar NV uses its own cookies (so-called first party cookies) and cookies of third parties whose services can or are used on the website (third party cookies). Articles 4 and 5 below, give you an overview of all the cookies and their respective purpose, storage period, and who installs and receives them.

If you decide to decline certain cookies, it is possible that certain parts of our website will fail to function or will not function properly, such as video, for example…

3. What are cookies?

These are small data files which are stored on the device used to visit the website, such as a computer, tablet, or smartphone. Whenever we mention ‘cookies’ below, we also mean other comparable techniques, such as pixels, plug-ins, trackers, reCaptcha, etc. Cookies enable our systems to identify your web browser. That is useful, because it means, for example, that you do not always have to re-enter your data, or give your preferences, or amend your settings. It also makes our website run more efficiently, we can gain an insight into the visitor behaviour on the website and other parties can gain an insight into your surfing behaviour.

We would also like to briefly explain the social media cookies that are used to integrate various social network sites on our website. Embedded elements from third parties, in other words, content that is stored with a third party, can also be displayed on our website. In addition, the content can be shared via social network sites by means of the buttons present on the various pages. Examples of these social networking sites include Facebook, Google+, WhatsApp, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn and Twitter.

First-party cookies are cookies that Avasco Solar places on the website.

Third-party cookies are cookies that third parties put on the website of Avasco Solar because Avasco Solar integrates elements from other websites.

Service Life

Permanent cookies remain on your device (desktop, laptop, smartphone, etc.) throughout the service life of the cookie. Every time you visit our website, these cookies are activated.

Session cookies only last for the session in progress and are removed as soon as you close your browser.

What is the purpose of these cookies?

Functional cookies ensure that all the website components run efficiently. These are therefore cookies that are necessary to ensure that the website runs efficiently and is kept secure.

Non-functional cookies are for statistical, social, and commercial purposes.

Analytical cookies give us insight into how visitors to our website navigate between the different pages and from which region they are visiting.  A statistical analysis is made on the basis of the information collected in this way in order to improve the structure, navigation and content of our website.

The marketing cookies ensure that you will receive personalized online advertising. Through your surfing behaviour, how and where you click, as the third parties we can gain insight into how our campaigns have performed.

The social media cookies are installed via buttons from the social media sites (such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest,…) that are installed on our website and are passed on to these social media. Avasco Solar has no influence on the use of this data and the way in which it is handled by them. Caution! If cookies are switched off, the Avasco Solar website may not run efficiently. After removing them in your browser, cookies will be installed again with your permission upon your next visit to our website.

8. Your Rights

You have a number of rights that govern the processing of your personal data.

Your data protection rights will be implemented in our systems and procedures within 30 days from the date of receipt of your application. If, for any reason, we are unable to meet this deadline, we shall inform you prior to the date of expiry of the original deadline.

Your right to view your personal data

You have the right to be informed of your personal data which we are processing, the purpose for processing them, where we have obtained these data, and the recipients of these data.

If you so decide, you can also be informed about how long we are storing these data, whether these data are used for automated decision-making purposes, and whether we intend to send these data to a country outside of the European Union.

You will receive the information requested by post or by e-mail within a reasonable period of time.

Your right to rectification/completion

There is always a possibility that the data which we hold about you is not, or no longer, accurate. In that case, you may always request to have the incorrect data amended or any missing data completed.

Your right to erasure

If you consider that we are unlawfully processing your personal data, then you may request to have these personal data deleted via your browser.

Your right to restriction of processing

You may request that we restrict the processing of your personal data if you suspect that the data are inaccurate or if the processing is unlawful.

Your right to object

You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data, including profiling. The processing will be stopped, unless it is necessary to protect the interests of a third party, or with a view to instituting legal proceedings, or supporting or exercising a legal claim.

Identification of the applicant

You can send us a written application to exercise your rights with regard to the processing of your personal data.

Always try to be as specific as possible when exercising your rights. This will enable us to implement your application correctly.

In order to avoid any person exercising your rights fraudulently, we must thoroughly check your identity. Your application must therefore always be accompanied by proof of identity of the applicant. You can enclose a copy of your identity card with your application. Do ensure that you blacken out your passport photograph and identity card number (etc.) for data protection purposes.

If we judge the document submitted to be sufficient proof, we shall inform you. We reserve the right not to respond to the application until sufficient proof has been provided.
