Technical Sales Support

AVASCO SOLAR NV, located in Vlamertinge, and part of the Vergalle Group, operates in the renewable energy sector and is equipped with state-of-the-art machinery. The company’s turnover of approx. 17 million euros is achieved by manufacturing installation frames for solar panels. In order to further expand and support this strong growth, we are looking for new talent to join our Technical Sales Support team.

After completing the in-depth training course, you, as a member of our Technical Sales Support team, will be responsible for providing both technical (design and implementation) and administrative support to our Sales & Engineering Departments.

Duties: 

• You will be working in close collaboration with our Engineering Department to design and further improve our products.
• Follow-up and working out drawings and Autocad design (2D and 3D).
• Product development and drawing up specifications e.g. for certification purposes and setting standards.
• Managing and advising on our online software.
• Working out projects and providing ‘Helpdesk’ support to customers to resolve specific queries.
• Testing out products.
• Liaising closely with customers with regard to technical aspects and our software package.
• Optimisation of the manufacturing process

Profile:

• You preferably hold a bachelor’s degree in Electro-mechanical Engineering or have equivalent experience.
• You have knowledge of sheet metal working.
• You have knowledge of 3D design (e.g. Solidworks 3D)
• You are a keen team player, you work accurately, independently, neatly, and methodically.
• You are innovative and take initiative when necessary, and you have a strong sense of responsibility.
• You have excellent technical baggage (theoretical and practical) and boast good communication skills.
• You are fully conversant with MS-Office and Autocad.
• You can speak fluent Dutch and English.
