Avasco Solar successfully passes the DEHN lightning protection test
At Avasco Solar, we are committed every day to innovation, reliability, and safety. That’s why we are especially proud to announce that our mounting systems have successfully passed the DEHN tests for lightning current and surge resistance.
What is a DEHN test?
DEHN is an internationally recognized and ISO/IEC 17025 accredited testing center that subjects mounting structures to extremely realistic lightning and surge scenarios. During the DEHN test, components are exposed to:
- Lightning current impulses up to 400 kA (10/350 µs)
- Surge voltage peaks in accordance with IEC standards
- Mechanical and thermal stress from direct and indirect strikes
The purpose of this test is to demonstrate that the PV installation continues to operate safely, even under the most severe conditions.
Safety as the foundation of sustainable energy
Our successful test results confirm that Avasco Solar mounting structures:
- Withstand extreme lightning currents
- Remain reliable under heavy electrical and thermal loads
- Comply with international lightning protection standards
- Provide an additional layer of safety for PV installations on flat roofs and industrial sites
Lightning protection is an essential element of every PV installation. By passing these independent tests, we once again demonstrate that our solutions are not only innovative and efficient, but also built on maximum safety and durability
